Why Choose Bauformat Kitchens?
Founded in 1929, Bauformat is an established German kitchen manufacturer and part of the family-owned Baumann Group. The brand brings together generations of expertise, precision-led manufacturing and a passion for considered design.
A key attraction is its versatility: sophisticated colours, materials, finishes, cabinet configurations and practical features can be combined to create a kitchen tailored to the way you live.
Whether you are planning a statement island, a sociable open-plan space or a beautifully organised family kitchen, Bauformat offers a wealth of possibilities. You can also discover how innovative manufacturers are shaping German kitchen design.
German Kitchen Quality, Down to the Finest Detail
With Bauformat, quality goes far beyond appearances. Its kitchens are manufactured in Germany, drawing on advanced production technology, skilled expertise and exacting manufacturing standards.
From robust cabinet construction and beautifully finished fronts to precision-engineered fittings and practical internal storage, every element is considered for reliable everyday performance.
Bauformat also carries the recognised Furniture Made in Germany quality seal, reinforcing its German manufacturing credentials. It is an approach that gives homeowners confidence in both the look and long-term practicality of their kitchen.
Contemporary, Handleless and Classic Kitchen Designs
One of Bauformat’s greatest strengths is the variety of kitchens it offers. Contemporary flat-front designs create a calm architectural look, while warmer finishes and framed, country-style doors introduce charm and character.
Its handleless kitchen options offer particularly striking design possibilities. Bauformat’s CP and CP One systems create elegant, uninterrupted lines, with options including integrated grip profiles, atmospheric lighting and assisted-opening functions depending on the specification.
If you are considering this style, our guide to J-pull versus true handleless kitchen doors explains the differences. For a softer, more classic aesthetic, explore the enduring appeal of Shaker kitchens.
From minimalist sophistication to relaxed, welcoming spaces, Bauformat offers options to complement a wide range of homes.
Beautiful Materials, Colours and Finishes
The beauty of a Bauformat kitchen lies in the freedom to make it your own. Choose from sophisticated matt and high-gloss finishes, rich wood effects, selected real-wood veneers, textured surfaces and versatile colour palettes.
For a distinctive finish, the collection also includes options such as genuine stone veneer and glass-effect fronts. Selected surfaces are designed with anti-fingerprint properties to help reduce visible marks in everyday use.
Think soft neutrals teamed with warm timber, dramatic dark cabinetry offset by pale worktops, or a textured island as the centrepiece of an open-plan room. Contrasting materials can give even a streamlined kitchen a personal, layered feel.
Clever Storage and Everyday Innovation
A beautiful kitchen should also be a pleasure to use. Behind Bauformat’s cabinetry is an array of thoughtful internal storage options designed to keep everyday essentials organised and within easy reach.
Depending on the layout and specification, options include spacious drawers, internal pull-outs, well-organised larder units, practical corner solutions and integrated lighting. Clever fittings help make the most of space without compromising the design.
Our guide to kitchen corner storage solutions looks at how mechanisms can transform awkward spaces, while floor-to-ceiling kitchen cabinets can help you make better use of vertical storage.
It is the balance of form and function that makes Bauformat so appealing: beautifully organised spaces that work around real life.
Sustainable German Kitchen Manufacturing
Choosing a kitchen is a long-term investment, and Bauformat places importance on responsible manufacturing and material sourcing alongside durability and design.
Its environmental credentials include the Blue Angel environmental label for qualifying furniture and PEFC-related certification within the wider group. Alongside these measures, the business describes ongoing work to improve production efficiency and responsible resource use.
